Frequently asked questions

What is the standard Tabata interval?
Classic Tabata is 20 seconds of maximum-intensity work followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated for 8 rounds — four minutes in total.
Can I change work, rest and rounds?
Yes. Work, rest, preparation time and the number of rounds are all adjustable, so the timer works for any HIIT or circuit format.
Does the timer make a sound at each interval?
Yes. Audio cues play at every phase change, and you can pick the sound and volume in settings. Vibration is available on devices that support it.
Do I need an account to use the Tabata timer?
No. The timer is free and works without signing in. An account only adds saved presets and session history across devices.
